History

        It was found in February 1981 as a HICS cement Private Ltd. It was a cement manufacturing company till 2014. Later, the company share holder took over the company and change the business model and the company name into Mishtann Foods. It is an Agro- based company. Mr. Ashish Agarwal and Rajnish Pathak  are the managing director of the company. The headquarters located in Gujarat, Ahmedabad. 

Products

        It have 3 manufacturing facilities in India and there products are Rice, Wheat, Food grains and Salt. It  have the capacity of  producing 75 Metric tones per hour. 

Brands


        It has PRISTINO and SNOWFLAKE brands for Raw basmati rice. MAHABAT and SHAHRYAR for sella basmati rice. JACINTH and JASPER for steam basmati rice.

        It has TOOR DAL for dal and BUTTON WHEAT for wheat.

        It has rock salt, processed salt and regular salts under the brand name of MISHTANN.

        This products are distribute over 10 states in India through 45,000+ retailers.

Sources

        It tied up with 150 farmers in Rajasthan to providing raw materials for the company.

Revenue

        99% Revenue comes from the domestic users and the balance 1% from exports.

Complaints against the Company 

        In February 2020, the market regulator Sebi imposed a fine of Rs 15 Lakhs for NON-COMPLIANCE with its directives. It also warned the company to be careful in resolving investors within the timeline.

Fire accident

        The company's Computer system, Digital data and Physical records are destroyed in a fire accident at the company's registered office on 6th May 2022.

New Plans

        In 27th December 2021, the company applied a proposal of manufacturing grain-based Ethanol in Gujarat. It estimate to invest Rs 2,250 Crores for this ethanol manufacturing plant. The estimate capacity of the plant is 1000 KLPD(kilo liter per day). This plant will operate in the second Quarter of 2024.
