History of Airtel
It comes under the groups called Bharti Airtel. It was founded in 7th July 1995 by Sunil Bharti Mittal. The headquarters located in New Delhi, India. The present managing director and CEO is Gopal Vittal.
It is an Indian multinational telecommunication service company. The company released the IPO in 01 April 2005.
Products
Airtel provide Fixed line telephone, Mobile telephony, Broadband, Voice services, Satellite television, Payment bank, Digital television, Internet television and IP television. Indus Towers provide signal towers for the company.
Band
It have 2G,3G,4G and 5G cellular bands. In 4th October 2022 Airtel launch 5G band now, it is available in metro and Urban cities of India.
Use case 5G
5G band is not for regular consumers. It is used for Health care, Education, Entertainment, Industrial Internet, Autonomous Vehicle and for Infrastructure Projects.
Acquired
It acquired Telenor, Virgin mobile India and TATA Docomo.
Location
It provide service to India, Sri Lanka, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Indonesia, Thailand, Nigeria, south and north African, Australia and Madagascar Island.
Balance sheet
The revenue contribute from India 67% Africa 30% and from other countries 3%. The OPM value is 50%. The total asset of the company increase every year with the total asset of 4,46,733 crore in 2023. The market capital is 4,84,933 crore and also pay constant Dividend pay out of 30%..
Disadvantage
The debt of the company increase from the last year due to 5G acquit-ion and promoters, reduced their holding to foreign investors.
Advantage
India has the second largest telecommunication service with 496.95 million subscribers in 17 countries. It also provide 2nd low tariff cost compare to their competitors. It have 36.30% market share in telecommunication sector. It is a monopoly in the sector.
Future growth
If the company increase the tariff plan, can lead the company price to grow Apart from that, the share pattern of the company maintain from 27 August 2007 to 31 October2019 at the same price after Covid-19 the company share price increase due to the enter of retail investors. In future this growth can increase.
