History

        It is established in 1994 by Suvankar Sen.  He is the CEO & MD of the company. The brand name is Senco Gold & Diamonds. They have 70 company-operated showrooms and 61 franchisee. It spread over 102 cities and towns, in 13 states of India.

Offers

        They have a diverse range of Gold and Diamond jewellry, Silver, Platinum, Precious and Semi- precious Stone jewellry and other metals. 

        Their target consumers are teenagers of  India, through its Ever lite Collection, featuring light weight jewellry. The gossip brand offering Silver and fashion jewellery. The Aham collection are specifically designed for Men's. The D' Signia and Vivaha collection offering Premium design. 

Competitors

        Tanishq, Kalyan and Thangamayil jewellery are the leading competitors in the gold-related sector.   

Positives

        They have 1,08,000 designs for gold jewellery and 46,000+ design for diamond jewellery. As of march 31, 2023, they maintain a team of 20 designers and 170 skilled local craftsmen from Kolkata and other regions of India. This increase and maintain the profit, in the last 3 years.

Negatives

        In the past, the company under went a search and seizure operation by the income-tax department. This leaded to taxation and criminal proceeding initiated against the company and its promoters. 

        Market price volatility of gold and diamond directly influence the value of the company. This affect the investor income, profitability and the scale of operations.

        Negative cash flow from operating and investing activities have been experienced by the company. So, there is no guarantee that the company will not encounter negative cash flow in the future. 

IPO

        The ipo released on 14 th July 2023. The bidding date is 4th to 6th July 2023. Its listed Ipo price is around  301 to 317 rupees and it is issued for 405 crore.
